Daniel Boone High School hosted No. 1 Bulldogs VS. No. 3 Berks Catholic during Men’s BCIAA Championship Lacrosse action.
Wilson’s Ryan Connolly connected for an early Bulldog league. However, the Saints’ Matt Kase struck to tie the game 1-1 early in the first quarter.
It was a Bulldog run after that. Matt Close struck in for two consecutive goals, leading the Bulldogs to 6-1 lead over Berks Catholic at the end of one.
McCale Butto cashed in on an early second half goal, taking the Saints’ to four goals. However, at the end of three, Wilson led 14-4.
Despite a late Saint’s rally in the fourth, Wilson topped the Saints 16-9. Steve Connolly and Matt Close each finished with 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists) for Wilson. Adam Close and Ryan Connolly each finished with 3 goals, as well. With the evening’s win, Wilson raised the County Championship trophy for the third consecutive year.
