Travaun Coad, Wilson
In two county playoff games this week, Coad scored a total of 38 points, behind back-to-back 19 point performances. During Wednesday’s win over rival Reading, Coad not only led all scorers, but also collected his 1000th career point in the process. Travaun has led the Bulldogs to a championship matchup with Berks Catholic Friday.
Nana Foulland, Berks Catholic
In three games this week, Foulland averaged over 19 points per game. Possibly his most impressive game was a county playoff win over Daniel Boone, in which Foulland scored 18 points, hauled in 14 rebounds, and also turned away 9 shots. Foulland and the Saints will battle top-seeded Wilson in the BCIAA championship game Friday evening.
Brock Kovach, Wyomissing
In two games this week, Kovach led the Spartans with an average of 13.5 PPG. Kovach helped the Spartans hold on to claim the Berks III title after they lost leading scorer Chase Hartman.
Carley Brew, Wilson
In two county playoff games, Brew has averaged 15 points per contest. The senior forward scored 21 first half points against Tulpehocken in the quarterfinals before resting the second half. Brew and the rest of the Lady Bulldogs will battle Fleetwood for the BCIAA girls title on Friday.
Cyre Virgo, Fleetwood
Virgo has been the force beneath the basket that the Lady Tigers have needed this season. In her last three games, Cyre is averaging nearly 17 points per game, while also grabbing double-digit rebounds in each contest. Virgo and her squad face top seeded Wilson in the county championship Friday.
Brandi Vallely, Oley Valley
Vallely averaged 13 points and 13 rebounds in her two county playoff games this week. While the Lady Lynx may have been eliminated from the county playoffs, they still have District 3 playoffs to look forward to. Vallely heads into the districts with 1,503 career points.
