Twin Valley Raiders Trump Antietam Mountaineers

Antietam @ TwinValley Jan 27, 2014Twin Valley continues on a four game win streak with tonight’s win over Antietam. The Raiders trumped the Mountaineers in this evening’s Berks Division II/III showdown, 46-34.

Antietam held an early lead over Twin Valley. However, a deciding three pointer from David Polisano put the Raiders over the Mountaineers at the end of the first quarter of play, 9-7.

Antietam rebounded in the second quarter. Cameron Koller beat the buzzer with a three pointer from a distance. Koller’s bucket would tie the game at the end the second, 18-18.

Tommy Rigg and Eric DiGiacomo’s combined 10 points in the third quarter lead the way for a Twin Valley surge. Twin Valley took the quarter with a 34-25 score over Antietam.

Offering up a 15 point season high, Tommy Rigg continued to put up big points for Twin Valley during the final quarter of play. At the end of four, Twin Valley outscored Antietam, 46-34. The Raiders host Schuykill Valley on Tuesday; meanwhile, the Mountaineers will look for a win against the Oley Valley Lynx.
