The Muhls entered Saturday’s matchup with a 4-13 overall record and were doing their best to snap a four game losing streak.
The Muhls allowed their opponents to jump out to a 16-1 run to begin the game. By the time the first quarter came to a close, the Muhls trailed 24-6 to the Trojans.
While Jalen Flynn and the Muhlenberg offense were able to muster up 14 points in the second quarter, they still allowed Pottstown to score 23, which left the Muhls trailing 47-20 at the half.
After the half, the Muhls would not be able to pull much closer. Pottstown held a lead of 67-35 after three quarters on their way to an 87-62 victory.
The Trojans were led by Rich Duvivier, who scored 22 points, while Bryant Quill added 21 of his own.
Muhlenberg saw contributions from Jalen Flynn, who scored 21, as well as Nelson Hine, who added 15.
The Muhls, who fell to 4-14 on the season, will look to snap their 5 game skid against Reading on Tuesday.
