Conrad Weiser Takes Fleetwood

Conrad Wesier vs. Fleetwood Jan 28, 2014Conrad Weiser remains hot on a 5 game win streak with tonight’s Berks Conference II win over Fleetwood. The Scouts improve to a  13-5 record on the season; meanwhile, the Tigers drop to a 10-7 mark. Conrad Weiser’s Andy Orr and Cartier Talford’s combined 38 points secured a Scout’s postseason position.

Conrad Wesier’s first quarter of play limited the Tiger’s to just 6 points. The Scouts held a 13 point lead over Fleetwood at the end of one, 16-6.

Fleetwood improved during the second quarter, bringing their mark to 16. However, Orr’s relentless offensive and defensive pressure would take Conrad Weiser to a 29-16 lead over the Tigers at the end of two.

An early three pointer from Talford shut the door on Fleetwood’s surge, taking the Scouts to a 46-28 lead over Fleetwood in the third quarter.

Conrad Weiser closed with 58-39 win over Fleetwood. The Scout’s remain one game behind Berks Catholic in Berks Conference II hoops. The Scouts host a Hamburg (0-8, 3-16) on Friday. The Tigers look for Friday win against Schuylkill Valley (1-7, 2-17).
