Scouts Host Spring Grove in D3 AAA Playoffs

The Conrad Weiser Scouts have the pleasure of opening up the District 3 AAA playoffs in front of their own fans.  Their 7-3 record was good enough to earn them the #6 seed overall.

The Scouts will welcome the Rockets of Spring Grove to Robesonia on Friday.  The visiting Rockets posted a 6-4 record, and finished 3rd in York-Adams Section 1.

The Rockets are led by RB Jeff Delaughter who rushed for 1,438 yards during the regular season.  They also feature a star wide receiver in Logan Hall, who caught 55 passes for 931 yards.

The Scouts will head into District 3 playoffs behind the strong play of QB Aidan Brosious.  Brosious has rushed for 844 yards and 15 touchdowns, while also throwing for 681 yards and 3 more touchdowns.  Running back Alex Guilbe got off to a hot start, but has slowed down recently.  Guilbe finished the regular season with 947 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns.  The Scouts will need Guilbe to get back to himself if they hope to play beyond this week.

In addition to being the quarterback, Aidan Brosious will serve as the Scouts kick returner.  Brosious has 281 yards and 3 touchdowns on kick returns this season.

Expect a tough battle between two good teams, but we see the home team coming out on top.

Prediction: Conrad Weiser 25, Spring Grover 21
