Exeter falls to Lower Dauphin

A successful 2013 season came to an end for the Exeter football team. The eagles finished the year at 9-3 after falling to Lower Dauphin 28-0.

Chase Yocum and the explosive Exeter offense were kept in check for the most of the evening. The 12th seeded Eagles had 184 total yards.

LD quarterback Troy Spencer rushed for 121 yards and two scores.  Spencer was also 2-2 through the air, throwing for 53 yards and a score.

Manny Soto did all he could for the Exeter offense as he rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries. Chase Yocum was 7 for 13 for 49 yards while also rushing for 30 yards.

Coach Bauer has to be pleased with the effort from his troops. Not only did these eagles have an impressive regular season but they were able to bring home the schools first ever district playoff win.

Yocum and Menet will be two nice cornerstones to build off of and we expect to see Exeter in the playoff mix again next season.

Congratulations once again to the 2013 Exeter eagles and best of luck to the seniors moving forward.
