Exeter still has hopes of a Section 1 title split. For that to happen they first need to take care of business every week. They did just that by knocking off Reading 49-12.
Junior quarterback Chase Yocum led the way for the Eagles with three rushing touchdowns. The three scores came from 1, 2 and 18 yards out. Ethan Lutz also provided a huge spark for the Eagles with not only a 27 yard touchdown run but also wowed the home crowd with a 95 yard kick off return for a touchdown.
Reading struck twice through the air with touchdown passes to exciting playmakers Dontae Owens and Julious Young-Trapp.
Exeter continues to be one of the most well-balanced offensive teams in the county with four different players getting into the end zone for the home team.
Exeter will hope to keep the momentum going as they take on a talented Muhlenberg team next week in a battle of two district playoff teams.
Reading will host Governor Mifflin next Friday night.
