The Scouts of Conrad Weiser have won 4 straight games and are coming off their most impressive win of 2013. They will now travel to take on a Reading team that will hope to spoil Weiser’s Section 1 title hopes.
Weiser has one of the most efficient offenses in Berks County, especially when it comes to running the football. They will once again rely heavily on the expertise of senior Quarterback Aidan Brosious. Brosious has made a name for himself throughout Berks County as not only an efficient quarterback, but a dangerous return man.
Reading has a few playmakers of their own that will keep the Scouts occupied on Friday. Reading receivers like Dontae Owens and Julius Young-Trapp provide a big-play spark that can change any game.
Weiser must make sure they take care of business and not look ahead to their final week showdown with first place Governor Mifflin.
I believe the Scouts will win this one, but I expect a game of big plays and I would not be surprised if Reading keeps it close into the fourth quarter.
