On Tuesday, the Berks Catholic Field Hockey team took on Bermudian Springs at Lower Dauphin in a district playoff matchup. The Saints who finished the regular season with a (15-5) record earned the #8 seed in the District 3 AA playoffs. Bermudian Springs (14-3-1) earned the #9 seed.
It would be the Saints who proved victorious on Tuesday evening behind strong play from Cayla Spatz (3 goals, 1 assist) and Katrina Balatgek (2 goals, 3 assists).
The Saints defense held strong allowing just 4 shots and not surrendering a goal to Bermudian Springs until just 3:55 remained in the second half, on their way to an 8-1 victory.
The Saints will now face #1 Palmyra at Penn Manor on Saturday at 1 PM.
