The Bulldogs faced a winless JP McCaskey team on Friday night looking to win the 500th victory in their school’s illustrious football history. Spoiler alert: they did not disappoint.
Coach Dahms’ squad won easily over the home Red Tornado by a final score of 45-7. Matt Timochenko tossed two touchdowns in the first quarter to Bryce Pych and Connor Smith. On the ground, the Bulldogs were led by Dustin Miller and Tim Whitmoyer, who combined for 63 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hunter Hatlee also added a rushing touchdown.
Matt Timochenko threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns on 13 of 24 passing.
Wilson’s defense forced and recovered 3 McCaskey fumbles. Matt Close also intercepted a pass.
Wilson hopes to continue getting contributions from the likes of Dom Nigrelli, John Raifsnyder, and Shane Dantzler, as they head into the brunt of their Lancaster-Lebanon schedule.
The Bulldogs, now (1-0, 4-0) will host Cedar Crest (1-0, 2-2) next Friday at Gurski Stadium.
