Muhlenberg was not going to have a letdown after last week’s impressive win over Wyomissing.
They took care of business once again this Friday evening with a 27-0 victory over Twin Valley. Although the Muhls are an impressive 4-0, a few details need to be sharpened as we head into league play.
“Penalties and stupid mistakes are going to come back and haunt us”, said Muhlenberg senior Aaron Lightcap.
Lightcap is most likely referring to the 12 flags and 101 penalty yards the Muhls brought in.
Ben Ortiz had another big game for the Muhls with two touchdowns. He continues to be a valuable weapon for the MuhlMafia who have definitely proven they will be a team to be reckoned with in Section 1.
Muhlenberg will definitely have to get things in order for the next couple weeks as they are heading into the heart of section play. With games coming up against Pottsville, Mifflin and 4-0 Exeter, the Muhls need to be prepared to play mistake-free football.
The host Raiders were held to 37 yards rushing on 26 carries, however they did manage to hold the Muhls scoreless after one quarter.
Twin Valley falls to 0-4 overall still looking for their first win of the season.
