The Muhls hosted Palmyra on Friday night in Laureldale. The visitors had been anything but impressive over the last season and a half as they came in on a 12 game losing streak.
Early on, an array of penalties prevented the Muhls from powering past their opponent. The Muhls had been flagged 12 times before the game even reached its midway point, which in large part led to the 7-7 tie at half.
However, it didn’t take long for the Muhls to pull away in the second half. Ben Ortiz ended up finding the end zone four times during the second half, giving him 5 touchdowns on the night. Ortiz also rushed for 220 yards in the game, leading the Muhls to a 41-7 victory.
Next week the Muhls will travel to Wyomissing as they look to improve to 3-0.
