Game Recap: Hamburg at Annville-Cleona

Hamburg looked to build upon their performance against ELCO from a week ago, which saw them boast the highest score in Berks Football League history, 55-54. This week, the Hawks won again by a much lower score 25-22. The Hawks have now won 2 games by a total of 4 points, but hey, it’s still 2 wins!

The Hawks were led by QB Joey Cominsky who passed for 141 yards and a touchdown. Cominsky also scored a touchdown on the ground for Hamburg. The Hawks leading rusher for the game was Cody Miller, who carried 11 times for 60 yards and a score.

Defensively, the Hawks forced 3 turnovers, including an interception by Nick Kuhn, who also saw some time at quarterback.

Next week, the Hawks will face Northern Lebanon at home as they look to stay perfect on the year.
