Both Boone and Weiser Looking for Bounce Back Wins

Daniel Boone and Conrad Weiser are both looking to put Week 4 behind them as quickly as possible. The Blazers were shutout 28-0 against Section 1 rival Mifflin, while Weiser lost a 17-16 heartbreaker to Exeter in a battle of undefeated teams.

Quarterback play will be pivotal for both teams. Boone QB Nick Hughes has been solid through the air for Coach Parks and he hopes to continue improving each week.  Weiser QB Aidan Brosious will rely heavily on the run game, in fact, the Scouts have already rushed for over 1200 yards this season so far; both teams can hurt you with big plays on the ground.  Brosious and Guilbe have shown to be a nice duo for the Scouts, while Boone has an impressive backfield of their own with Kyle Myers and Xavier Smith.

Daniel Boone will be without their leading receiver Tommy Pufnock who is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.  This could be damaging to Hughes and the passing game. Last week’s loss to Exeter showed that Weiser may be slightly vulnerable to the run game.  Look for Myers to have a big day.

I think Weiser wins this one at home.

Prediction: Conrad Weiser 28,  Daniel Boone 14
