BIC Sports Players of the Week (Section 1, Week 4)

Offensive: Manny Soto, RB Exeter
Manny Soto rushed for 159 yards on just 11 carries on Friday, including a 43 yard rushing touchdown to win the game over Conrad Weiser.  Soto also had a 70 yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage.

Honorable Mention: Darion Jacoby, RB Pottsville
The freshman running back continues to be the most impressive and electrifying player for the Crimson Tide.  On Friday, Jacoby rushed 24 times for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns, leading the Tide to a victory and bringing the “Lump of Coal” back to Pottsville.  Darion has now made our offensive players of the week in back to back weeks.

Congratulations to both Manny and Darion from the folks at BerksIC.com.  Keep up the hard work!

Defensive: Ethan Lutz, DB Exeter
The senior defensive back intercepted both the first and last pass attempts from Conrad Weiser on Friday night.  The second interception sealed the deal.  Lutz now has 3 interceptions in his last 2 games.  Ethan also added 13 tackles during Friday’s win.  Ethan finds himself among our defensive players for the second consecutive week.

Honorable Mention: Eli Quinter, DB Muhlenberg
Eli Quinter finds himself in our defensive players of the week, for the second consecutive week.  The senior safety intercepted a pass against Twin Valley on Friday night.  Quinter’s effort helped the Muhls earn their 2nd shutout of this short season, on their way to a 4-0 record.

Congratulations, once again, to both Ethan and Eli for earning our defensive players of the week honors.
