Behind Lacey and Stanko Berks Catholic runs over Blue Moutain

The saints of Berks Catholic now stand at 5-0 after a 37-7 win over section 2 rival Blue Mountain.

BC kept on pace with its strong offense and suffocating defense. The boys in black and gold racked up 341 yards on the ground which included two touchdowns from Junior Pop Lacey. Chris Warren also chipped in with a 46 yard touchdown run of his own.

The defense Berks Catholic put on a show of their own holding Blue Mountain to just 155 yards of total offense.

After a bit of a slow start BC outscored the eagles 30-0 in the second half.

A new award created in week five “Berksic.com special teams player of the week” goes to Drew Stanko who was 5-5 in extra points.

After another impressive win by the saints as they now turn their attention to Schuylkill Valley who is 4-0 on the season and will lock up with Fleetwood tomorrow night. The Saints and Panthers will definitely both be preparing for this one as it could have section title implications.
