Feehrer Accepted to Philadelphia Union Development Academy

Exeter senior Sam Feehrer has been awarded a spot in the player development academy for the Philadelphia Union.

Feehrer will forego his senior season for the Eagles to participate in the program. He may only play for the development club or the United States national team.

As a member of the academy, Feehrer can continue his career playing for Reading United AC. United is the official player development partner of the Union.

Feehrer is eligible to sign a contract with the Union as a homegrown player, which will not account against the team’s salary cap limit. He tallied nine goals and three assists for a total of 21 points last fall.
