Three Wilson Players Participate in Nike Nationals

Carley Brew, Avery Marz and Jessie Wallace represented the Wilson Bulldogs in the Nike Nationals this week.

Wallace graduated from Wilson in June. She averaged 9.0 points in 30 games for the Bulldogs in her senior season. Wallace finished her career with 885 points between Wilson and Muhlenberg.

Brew and Marz are heading into their senior seasons with the Bulldogs. Both players averaged 10.7 points last year.

Brew has 875 points in her three seasons at Wilson and is 125 shy of 1,000 for her scholastic career. Marz has 693 points and 307 away from 1,000.

The Bulldogs finished 27-3 en route to the BCIAA championship for the second consecutive year. Wilson reached the second round of the PIAA Class AAAA playoffs.

The Nike Nationals AAU Tournament is a premier showcase event for scouts in the eastern portion of the United States. Recent participants in the tournament include Britney Griner, the number one selection in the 2013 WNBA draft. Games are held July 27 through July 30.
